Volleyball Recap: Sultana Now 10-3 over Last 13 Games

Sultana's game on Monday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Wednesday. They came out on top against the Apple Valley Sun Devils by a score of 3-1. This was payback for the Sultans, who suffered a 3-2 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Sultana had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 24-26, 25-22, 25-9, 25-16.

Sultana was led to victory by Brooklyn Kelly and Ella Cain. Kelly had 16 digs and three aces, while Cain had eight digs and seven assists. Kelly is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 12 or more in each of the last ten games she's played.

They weren't the only good server: Sultana was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 20 aces. That's the most aces they've posted since back in September of 2024.

Sultana has been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 13 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-5 record this season. As for Apple Valley, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 10-10.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Sultana will face off against rival Burroughs at 5:15 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Apple Valley is set to square off against their familiar foe Oak Hills at 5:15 p.m. on Monday.
