Ashville waltzed into their game on Saturday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They came out on top against the Victory Christian Lions by a score of 2-0. That's more bragging rights for the Bulldogs, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

The 2-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Ashville was: they took both sets by at least ten points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-10, 25-15.

Lydia Northam paced Ashville's offense, picking up seven kills. Northam got some help from Ryleigh Cothran and her ten assists. Evelyn Dole controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Ashville's victory bumped their record up to 5-0. As for Victory Christian, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.

Ashville didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-1 win against Gadsden City on the 23rd. As for Victory Christian, they will be playing at home against Appalachian at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
