Pinecrest waltzed into their matchup on Friday with six straight wins... but they left with seven. They walked away with a 7-2 victory over the Southern Lee Cavaliers. The contest marked the Patriots' most dominant win of the season so far.

Seth Norris was excellent, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-2. Another player making a difference was Mitch Baek, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

Pinecrest's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-2. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.5 runs on average over those games. As for Southern Lee, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-3.

Pinecrest and Southern Lee should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps North Carolina Rankings. Pinecrest will face off against Lee County at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday up 126 places (34 vs. 160). Meanwhile, Southern Lee (ranked 93rd) will meet Hoke County (ranked 356th) at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
