Football Recap: Lincoln Northwest Takes a Loss

Lincoln Northwest lost against York back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Falcons were beaten by the Dukes 43-7. The Falcons were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 43-0.

When it comes to explaining why Lincoln Northwest lost, don't look at Kaiden Wood. Despite the final result, he rushed for 126 yards and one touchdown.

Emmitt Dirks was nothing short of spectacular for York: he rushed for 121 yards and three TDs, and also threw for 147 yards and three touchdowns. Those three rushing touchdowns gave Dirks a new career-high. Dax Peterson was in the mix too, providing York with two scores.

This is the second loss in a row for Lincoln Northwest and nudges their season record down to 1-5. As for York, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 4-2.

Lincoln Northwest wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 45-7 defeat against Crete on the 10th. As for York, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, an 18-16 victory against Northwest on the 10th.
