The Reading Blue Devils will head out on the road to challenge the Boone County Rebels at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Reading is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.8 runs per game this season.
Reading barely beat Wyoming the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Blue Devils never let the Cowboys get on the board and left with a 12-0 win on Friday. The result was nothing new for the Blue Devils, who have now won 11 matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

Lillie Riedmiller made a big impact no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run while striking out 11 over five innings pitched. She has been consistent: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in six consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going a perfect 3-for-3 with four RBI, one run, and one double.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Brooke Androne, who went 1-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Meredith Hess, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI and one double.
Reading was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .417. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .300 or higher in four consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, after soaring to 18 runs the game before, Boone County was a bit more limited in their game on Friday. They lost 16-1 to Grant County. The loss continues a trend for the Rebels in their meetings with the Braves: they've now lost three in a row.
Boone County's defeat dropped their record down to 14-16. As for Reading, their record now sits at 12-10.
Everything went Reading's way against Boone County in their previous meeting back in May of 2025, as Reading made off with a 12-4 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Blue Devils since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
