Basketball Recap: IDEA Frontier College Prep vs. Santa Rosa Warriors
This season hasn't been kind to IDEA Frontier College Prep, who are still winless after their 12th game. The contest between them and Santa Rosa wasn't particularly close, with IDEA Frontier College Prep falling 31-17. IDEA Frontier College Prep has not had much luck with the Warriors recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Santa Rosa to victory, but perhaps none more so than Amber Mendoza, who scored three points along with 14 rebounds and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Aiden Garcia, who scored eight points along with five rebounds and three steals.
IDEA Frontier College Prep dropped their record down to 0-12 with that defeat, which was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Santa Rosa, their win bumped their record up to 11-16.
IDEA Frontier College Prep will be staying on the road on Monday to face off against the Bobcats at 7:00 p.m. on February 5th. Rio Hondo presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than the in Texas (the Bobcats are ranked 751st, while the are ranked 1546th). As for Santa Rosa, they will be playing in front of their home fans against the Rockets at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. IDEA Riverview comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
