Softball Recap: Springfield Comes Up Short

Springfield lost to Field on April 6th and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Spartans lost 14-3 to the Falcons. The Spartans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Springfield saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Emily Crytzer, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

Springfield's loss dropped their record down to 3-8. As for Field, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-2 record this season.

Springfield will welcome Rittman at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The Indians have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 11.8 runs per game on average), something the Spartans will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Field, they will venture away from home to take on Norton at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
