Softball Recap: Georgetown Visitation Prep Triumphs

Georgetown Visitation Prep came out on top against Holton-Arms on Tuesday thanks in part to the team's impressive five-run seventh inning. The Cubs walked away with a 7-4 victory over Holton-Arms. The Cubs haven't had any issues with Holton-Arms recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

Sami Farmer spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and three unearned) runs on five hits and racked up seven Ks.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Ainsley Kovarik, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. Caitlin O'Connor was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two runs.

Georgetown Visitation Prep's victory bumped their record up to 6-7. As for Holton-Arms, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-4 record this season.
