Basketball Recap: Polytechnic Comes Up Short

Polytechnic was the 54-38 winner over South Hills when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. The Polytechnic Parrots were just a bucket shy of victory on Tuesday and fell 38-37 to the South Hills Scorpions. The Parrots have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

South Hills' win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Javeon Flemings, who posted 12 points and five boards. Another player making a difference was Ra'Monce Spriggins, who earned seven points and ten rebounds.

Polytechnic's defeat dropped their record down to 11-17. As for South Hills, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-21.

Polytechnic does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for South Hills, they will be playing at home against Seguin at 6:30 p.m. on February 18th. One thing working in Seguin's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last three matchups.
