Softball Game Preview: Nelson vs. Tigard Tigers

Nelson will head out on the road to face off against the Tigard Tigers at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Nelson has given up an average of 8.6 runs per game this season, but Wednesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Nelson is headed into Wednesday's matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game on Monday. They lost 14-3 to Sunset.

Nelson saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Chloe Osborn, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base and one RBI. Abigail Huspek also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Tigard). They came out on top against Central Catholic by a score of 9-5 on Monday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Tigers.

Tigard's victory bumped their record up to 4-5. As for Nelson, their loss dropped their record down to 2-6.
