Volleyball Recap: St. Johns Comes Up Short

St. Johns was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They fell 2-0 to the Holland Christian Maroons. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Redwings of the 2-1 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2024.

Abby Tisdale paced St. Johns' offense, picking up four kills. Tisdale got some help from Lillie Alsup and her nine assists.

St. Johns' loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Holland Christian, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-2 record this season.

St. Johns has already played their next game, a 2-0 win against East Kentwood on the 6th. As for Holland Christian, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 2-0 defeat against Hudsonville on the 6th.
