Connor Stafford was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Hobart is 3-1 when he allows at most one earned run, but 6-8 otherwise. The win got Hobart back to even at 9-9. As for Hammond Central, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-11-1.
