Football Recap: Central Cass Proves Higher State Rank Is No Mistake

The Central Cass Squirrels didn't have too much trouble with the Dickinson Midgets on Friday as they won 36-21. Given the Squirrels' advantage in MaxPreps' North Dakota football rankings (they are ranked eighth, while the Midgets are ranked 51st) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

The victory made it two in a row for Central Cass and bumps their season record up to 3-1. As for Dickinson, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-3.

Central Cass and Dickinson will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Squirrels will challenge rival Wahpeton at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Dickinson is set to take on their familiar foe Watford City at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
