            Basketball Recap: Hill City Ringnecks vs. Rawlins County Buffaloes        
        
		
        
        
            Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a  season-high score is even better (just ask Hill City). They simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat the Rawlins County Buffaloes 81-54. With that  win, the Ringnecks brought their scoring average up to 50.9  points per game.

Leading Hill City to victory were  Carson Keith and  Vincent Zohner.  Keith  went 11 for 22  on his way to 29 points and seven  rebounds, while  Zohner  dropped  a double-double on 18  points and ten  boards. Keith's evening made it eight games in a row in which  he has scored at least 15 points.  Case Haynes also deserves some recognition as  he  posted his first  block of the season.
 Hill City  smashed the offensive glass and  finished the game with 20  offensive rebounds. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Rawlins County only pulled down eight  offensive boards.
 Several Buffaloes players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was   Tru Dewey, who  went 6 of 8  en route to 14 points and five  boards. Dewey has been hot, having also posted two or more  steals the last seven times he's  played. Another player making a difference was  Dominique Paz, who  posted 11  points.
Hill City's victory bumped their record up to 5-9. As for Rawlins County, they have  traveled a rocky road recently having  lost five of their last six matchups,  which put a noticeable dent in their 5-11 record  this season.
 Hill City and Rawlins County could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage  in the MaxPreps Kansas Rankings. Hill City will  challenge  Norton  at 7:30  p.m.  on Monday down  206 places (259 vs. 53). Similarly,  Rawlins County (ranked 298th) will meet Weskan (ranked 130th)  at 6:00  p.m.  on Monday.
