Volleyball Recap: Ballard Takes a Loss

Ballard was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Iowa City West Trojans. If the Bombers were looking for revenge after losing 2-0 to the Trojans when the teams met back in August of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Ballard's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Iowa City West, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 4-1.

Ballard has already played their next match, a 2-0 victory against West Liberty on the 30th. As for Iowa City West, they will challenge Marion at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
