Volleyball Recap: Davenport West Takes a Loss

Davenport West was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Fort Madison Bloodhounds. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Falcons of the 2-1 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

While Davenport West had to settle for second, they sure made a game of it, scoring at least 20 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-20, 25-21.

Davenport West's defeat dropped their record down to 2-20-1. As for Fort Madison, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-10 record this season.

Davenport West will be playing in front of their home fans against Central DeWitt at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Fort Madison does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
