Winning always takes teamwork, but on Friday Sam Hawker stepped things up a notch to give Cheyenne Mountain the 'W'. Hawker rushed for 61 yards and two scores. The performance marked the most rushing touchdowns he has had since back in September of 2024.

Hawker and Cheyenne Mountain will square off against Coronado at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Red-Tailed Hawks got just the result they wanted when they last faced the Cougars thanks in part to Hawker: he rushed for 94 yards and a pair of touchdowns, and also threw for 39 yards and one TD.
