Soccer Recap: Booker Comes Up Short

After flying high against Boca Ciega on Thursday, Booker came back down to earth. The Booker Tornadoes fell just short of the Cardinal Mooney Cougars by a score of 1-0 on Friday. The shutout was out of character for the Tornadoes seeing as the last time the team failed to score was back in December of 2024.

Booker now has a losing record at 6-7-1. As for Cardinal Mooney, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 8-4-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Booker will host Imagine School at North Port at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Cardinal Mooney, they will look to defend their home pitch on Wednesday against Braden River at 7:00 p.m.
