Basketball Recap: Bosco Tech Comes Up Short

Bosco Tech extended their losing streak to three on Tuesday, dropping them down to 1-7. They fell 53-44 to the El Rancho Dons. The Tigers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Dons apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in December of 2021.

As for El Rancho, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 4-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 50.8 points over those games.

Andrew Morones had another great game (as he tends to do), dropping a double-double with 19 points and ten boards. Those ten rebounds gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Adan Alvarez, who posted nine points and eight boards.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bosco Tech will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Cantwell-Sacred Heart of Mary at 7:00 p.m. on the 12th. The Tigers will need to watch out since the Cardinals have now posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season. As for El Rancho, they and Wilson will face off at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday without much rest, having both just played.
