Basketball Recap: Cheboygan Snaps Four-Game Streak of Losses on the Road

Cheboygan had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They came out on top against the Kingsley Stags by a score of 62-53 on Friday. Given the Chiefs' advantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 271st, while the Stags are ranked 620th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Cheboygan's victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 8-5. As for Kingsley, they dropped their record down to 0-13 with the defeat, which was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season.

Cheboygan will take on Kalkaska at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Cheboygan is facing Kalkaska at the right time seeing as Kalkaska is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Kingsley, they will challenge Elk Rapids at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Elk Rapids will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Kingsley surely won't give up without a fight.
