Baseball Recap: Central Valley Comes Up Short

Central Valley saw some tournament action on Wednesday. They came up short against the Nevada Union Miners, falling 13-3.

Drason Recio and Brady Hill did some serious damage despite the final result: Recio went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double, while Hill went a perfect 2-for-2 with one run, one double, and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Blake Brizendine, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.

Central Valley has been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last 12 matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-12 record this season. As for Nevada Union, with the win, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 10-13.

Central Valley wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, an 11-0 defeat against University Prep on the 22nd. As for Nevada Union, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, an 11-0 loss against Shasta on the 16th.
