Baseball Recap: Lompoc Has No Trouble Against Arroyo Grande

Lompoc got themselves on the board against Arroyo Grande on Friday, but Arroyo Grande never followed suit. They were the clear victors by an 11-0 margin over the Eagles. This was a revenge game for the Braves: when they faced off against the Eagles on Wednesday, they had to take a 6-3 loss.

The result came thanks to Jack Jones's shutout, as he gave up just two hits and racked up ten Ks. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in 14 consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Sebastian Bravo was incredible, going 2-for-3 with three runs, two RBI, and one double. He has become a key player for Lompoc: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 9-11 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Stone Kubasiewicz, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.

Lompoc's win bumped their record up to 13-11. As for Arroyo Grande, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-15-1.

Looking ahead, Lompoc will square off against San Luis Obispo at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Arroyo Grande does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
