Soccer Recap: Peotone Find Success

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Bradley-Bourbonnais, Peotone was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They came out on top against the Joliet Catholic Hilltoppers by a score of 2-0. Peotone have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw Joliet Catholic, too.

Katelyn Leitelt and Allie Werner scored both of Peotone's goals, which were season-firsts for both players.

The win got Peotone back to even at 1-1. As for Joliet Catholic, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-4 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Peotone will challenge Streator at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Joliet Catholic, they will face off against Lockport at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Lockport's last three matchups have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
