Recap: Madison-Grant Argylls vs. Lapel Bulldogs
The Madison-Grant Argylls's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their fifth straight loss. They took a serious blow against Lapel, falling 70-17. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Madison-Grant in their matchups with Lapel: they've now lost eight in a row.
Madison-Grant got a good chunk of their points from the dynamic duo of
Katie Stowers and
Jasmyn Rainey, who each put up four points.
Maddy Moore held things down on the boards with eight rebounds. Moore took the lead distributing the ball, coming up with four assists.
Madison-Grant's loss dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Lapel, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 9-1.
Madison-Grant will be playing at home against Elwood at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. Elwood is hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses. As for Lapel, they will head out on the road to face off against Tipton at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Tipton is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'.
