Softball Recap: Robert C. Byrd Comes Up Short

Bridgeport hit Robert C. Byrd with a five-run fourth inning on Friday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Eagles came up short against the Indians, falling 11-3. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Indians this season, with their most recent loss being a 16-6 defeat back in April.

Robert C. Byrd saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Khloe McAvoy, who went 2-for-3 with one home run.

This is the second loss in a row for Robert C. Byrd and nudges their season record down to 3-23. As for Bridgeport, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 8-12.

As of now, neither Robert C. Byrd nor the Indians have any future games scheduled.
