Volleyball Recap: Green Valley's Losing Streak Snapped at Five Games

Green Valley came into Saturday's match having lost five straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the Pinecrest Academy Sloan Canyon Pirate on Saturday.

Mua Sagaiga paced Green Valley's offense, picking up seven kills. Sagaiga got some help from Zechariah Nissley and his 17 assists. Finally, Preston Whiting kept Green Valley's defense grounded, leading the team with four blocks.

Green Valley's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-4. As for Pinecrest Academy Sloan Canyon, they are on a four-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.
