Basketball Recap: West Lincoln Takes a Loss

West Lincoln was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 72-36 to the Bogue Chitto Bobcats, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. While losing is never fun, the Bears can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Mississippi basketball rankings (they are ranked 233rd, while the Bobcats are ranked 60th).

West Lincoln's defeat dropped their record down to 11-13. As for Bogue Chitto, the victory (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 18-3.

West Lincoln has already played their next match (against Wilkinson County), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Bogue Chitto will challenge Amite County at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Bogue Chitto's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last nine games.
