Softball Recap: Morris Eagles vs. Preston Pirates
Morris was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 12th straight loss. They lost 13-1 to the Preston Pirates. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Eagles of the 11-1 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2023.
Morris' loss dropped their record down to 2-20. As for Preston, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 17 of their last 18 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 26-3 record this season.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Morris will challenge Okemah at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Preston, they are taking a road trip to take on Bartlesville at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Both teams will come into the matchup having just posted big wins, so someone is set to suffer a big change in fortunes.
