Softball Recap: Trinity Takes a Loss

Trinity was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 18-8 to the High Point Central Bison. The Bulldogs were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Bison earlier this season, when they won 14-8.

Karrington Batten stepped up to lead a balanced group of hitters: she scored two runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-3. Eva Porter was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 2-for-2.

Trinity's loss dropped their record down to 2-8. As for High Point Central, they pushed their record up to 4-4 with the win, which was their third straight at home.

Trinity wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 12-2 defeat against Eastern Randolph on the 28th. As for High Point Central, they have also already played their next contest, a 21-4 victory against Dudley on the 28th.
