Baseball Recap: Murrieta Mesa Comes Up Short

The home team had come away the winner the last five times Murrieta Mesa and Murrieta Valley had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. The Rams lost 10-2 to the Nighthawks on Thursday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Rams have suffered since March 19th.

Zach Janczyk made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with two doubles and one run.

Murrieta Mesa's defeat dropped their record down to 10-7. As for Murrieta Valley, their victory ended a seven-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-13.

Coming up, Murrieta Mesa will take on Temecula Valley at 3:30 p.m. on Monday. The Golden Bears will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Rams surely won't give up without a fight. As for Murrieta Valley, they will face off against Vista Murrieta at 3:30 p.m. on Monday. The Broncos will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something the Nighthawks surely won't give up without a fight.
