Crittenden County had lost three games straight , but after bumping their record up to 5-6 on Monday that streak is in the rearview. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Caldwell County Tigers 6-4. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Rockets have posted since April 12, 2024.

As for Caldwell County, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-8 record this season. As for they, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 9-8.

For Caldwell County's part, Alexis Wood spent all nine innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and three unearned) runs on nine hits. Wood has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than one walk in nine consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Brylee Butts made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-5 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Daelen Kizzee, who went 2-for-3 with one run.
