Baseball Game Preview: Kuna Kavemen vs. Rocky Mountain Grizzlies

Kuna hasn't had much luck against Rocky Mountain recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Kuna Kavemen are taking a road trip to square off against the Rocky Mountain Grizzlies at 6:30 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Kuna is leaving town to face Rocky Mountain after disappointing their home crowd in their season opener. Kuna came up short against Timberline on Wednesday, falling 18-5. Sadly, the loss continues a streak the team started last season, making it seven in a row.

Kuna saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Max Sperry, who scored a run while going 3-for-4. Those three hits gave Sperry a new career-high.

Meanwhile, Rocky Mountain had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They fell just short of Mountain View by a score of 6-4 on Wednesday.

Rocky Mountain got a big performance out of Jeff Thompson, who went 1-for-2 with one home run and one stolen base. The team also got some help courtesy of Jamison Pearson, who went 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI.

Kuna couldn't quite get it done against Rocky Mountain in their previous meeting back in April of 2024 as they fell 6-1. Can Kuna avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
