South Guilford HomeSchool had won five straight at home, but on Thursday they bumped up to 9-0 to make it six. They claimed a resounding 55-23 win over the South Charlotte Thunder. The Cougars have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six contests by 21 points or more this season.

Kourtney Bullins produced another solid performance going 8-for-15 en route to 23 points in addition to six rebounds and four blocks. She has been hot recently, having posted two or more blocks the last three times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Isa Bosch, who posted eight points along with five assists and four steals.

South Guilford HomeSchool was working as a unit and finished the game with 17 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

As for South Charlotte, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-5. The defensive woes were uncharacteristic for they, who until this game were averaging 29.5 points allowed.

Despite the loss, South Charlotte saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Caroline Gidney had six points and eight boards.

Coming up, South Guilford HomeSchool will face off against Greater Cabarrus Athletic Association at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for South Charlotte, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 44-38 victory against Providence Athletic Club on the 6th.
