Basketball Recap: Wilkinson County Warriors vs. Johnson County Trojans

Wilkinson County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They had to suffer through a 55-28 loss at the hands of the Johnson County Trojans. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Trojans this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 44-36 back in January.

Johnson County was led to victory by SaNoriya Norris and Ziyah Lewis. Norris posted 22 points in addition to five rebounds and three steals, while Lewis dropped a double-double with 15 points and 12 boards. Lewis is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last eight games she's played. S'Riyah Bostick was another key player, almost dropping a double-double with nine points and ten rebounds.

Wilkinson County's defeat dropped their record down to 4-19. As for Johnson County, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 14-4 record this season.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Georgia Military College the next time they take the court. Johnson County will host Georgia Military College at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, while Wilkinson County will host them at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
