Softball Recap: North Has No Trouble Against Southeast

It was a classic North v. South duel when North faced off against Southeast on Wednesday. The RedHawks were the clear victors by a 15-0 margin over the Golden Buffalo. The win continues a trend for the RedHawks in their matchups with the Golden Buffalo: they've now won six in a row.

The team relied heavily on Evelyn Escamilla, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with four RBI and one run. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Yulisa Herrera Trejo, who went 2-for-3 with two runs and one RBI.

North was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .571. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .304 or higher in three consecutive contests.

North's victory bumped their record up to 11-9. As for Southeast, their defeat was their 13th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-8.

As of now, neither North nor the Golden Buffalo have any future games scheduled.
