Basketball Recap: Baldwin Takes a Loss

After soaring to 70 points the game before, Baldwin was a bit more limited in their game on Thursday. They had to suffer through a 50-19 loss at the hands of the Eudora Cardinals. While losing is never fun, the Bulldogs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Kansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 85th in Kansas, while the Cardinals are ranked 17th in Kansas).

Baldwin lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Audrey Searl, who posted five points and five rebounds. Kyan Frost also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.

Baldwin's loss dropped their record down to 11-6. As for Eudora, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 14-1.

Baldwin didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 44-31 victory against Ottawa on the 21st. As for Eudora, they have also already played their next contest, a 50-40 win against Spring Hill on the 21st.
