Football Recap: Elkin Buckin' Elks vs. Forbush Falcons
After flying high against North Stokes two weeks ago, Elkin came back down to earth. The Buckin' Elks took a 41-28 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Forbush Falcons on Friday. The Buckin' Elks have struggled against the Falcons recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.
Despite the loss, Elkin still got an impressive performance from Hector Hernandez, who threw for 66 yards and two TDs while completing 72.7% of his passes, and also picked up 55 receiving yards.
Keanu Escalante continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Forbush, rushing for 177 yards and three scores. Those three rushing touchdowns gave Escalante a new career-high. Tyler Winters was another key player, rushing for 67 yards and a pair of touchdowns.
