Volleyball Game Preview: Brandon Valley Lynx vs. Huron Tigers

The Brandon Valley Lynx are taking a road trip to face off against the Huron Tigers at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Brandon Valley will be looking to extend their current nine-game winning streak.

Brandon Valley is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of South Dakota's top teams: Mitchell, who was ranked 13th at the time (Brandon Valley was ranked third). The Lynx came out on top against the Kernels by a score of 3-1 on Tuesday.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 23-25, 25-13, 25-17.

Meanwhile, Huron lost 3-0 to O'Gorman on Tuesday. The Tigers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 25-13, 25-21.

Huron's defeat dropped their record down to 8-13. As for Brandon Valley, their win bumped their record up to 23-3.

Brandon Valley took their victory against Huron when the teams last played back in November of 2024 by a conclusive 3-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Lynx since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
