Softball Recap: Pearsall Comes Up Short

Pearsall was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 7-6 heartbreaker at the hands of the Uvalde Coyotes. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Coyotes this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 9-5 back in March.

Pearsall saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Neela Escobedo, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI.

Pearsall's record now sits at 5-14. As for Uvalde, their win bumped their record up to 11-14-1.

Coming up, Pearsall will take on Carrizo Springs at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Wildcats have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 15.5 runs per game on average), something the Mavericks will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Uvalde, they will face off against Floresville at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
