Franklin County won the last time they faced Connersville and things went their way on Friday too. The Wildcats really took it to the Spartans for the full four quarters, racking up a 62-28 win. With the Wildcats ahead 35-14 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.

Wyatt Bowling had an outrageously good game as he rushed for 172 yards and three TDs while picking up 10.8 yards per carry, and also threw for 185 yards and four touchdowns while completing 92.9% of his passes. Mason Wewe also helped out as he racked up 128 rushing yards.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Franklin County was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 394 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since the start of last season.

Franklin County has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 44.5 points this season. As for Connersville, they dropped their record down to 1-1 with the loss, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Franklin County will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against Rushville at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. This will be the Wildcats' first chance to prove their worth in the conference. As for Connersville, they will be playing at home against Greensburg at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
