Volleyball Game Preview: Bloom-Carroll Bulldogs vs. Jonathan Alder Pioneers

Bloom-Carroll is 0-4 against Jonathan Alder since October of 2016 but things could change on Saturday. The Bulldogs will challenge the Pioneers at 1:00 p.m. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Bloom-Carroll comes in on nine and Jonathan Alder on six.

Bloom-Carroll is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Thursday. They won by a set and slipped past Shawnee 3-2.

Bloom-Carroll was actually outscored in aggregate across those five sets (100-99), but they still managed to win. The match finished with set scores of 15-25, 25-19, 25-21, 19-25, 15-10.

Meanwhile, Jonathan Alder was able to grind out a solid victory over Dover on Thursday, taking the game 3-1.

Jonathan Alder's win bumped their record up to 24-2. As for Bloom-Carroll, their victory bumped their record up to 25-1.

Bloom-Carroll suffered a grim 3-0 defeat to Jonathan Alder in their previous matchup back in October of 2020. Can the Bulldogs avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
