Basketball Recap: Narraguagus Comes Up Short

Narraguagus lost against Machias two weeks ago and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Narraguagus Knights took a blow against the Machias Bulldogs, falling 77-34. While losing is never fun, the Knights can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Maine basketball rankings (they are ranked 116th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 22nd).

Narraguagus has traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-11 record this season. As for Machias, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 12-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Narraguagus will square off against George Stevens Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Machias, they will face off against Sumner at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
