Baseball Game Preview: Quitman Panthers vs. Forest Bearcats

A feisty cat fight will be fought as Quitman Panthers duke it out with Forest Bearcats at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Quitman is coming into the match on a five-game losing streak.

On Tuesday, Quitman came up short against Forest and fell 11-7.

For Forest's part, their victory was truly a team effort as five different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Anias Patterson, who went 1-for-5 with two RBI and one double. The dominant performance gave Patterson a new career-high in RBI. Pablo Morales was another, scoring two runs while going 1-for-4.

Forest hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Quitman struck out seven times.

The win snapped Forest's losing streak at six games and leaves them with a 4-10 record. As for Quitman, they now have a losing record of 7-8.

The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Friday as neither team is afraid to steal. Quitman has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 6.7 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Forest struggles in that department as they've been averaging 3.9 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
