Basketball Recap: Port Washington Piles Up the Points Against Wyandanch

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Massapequa, Port Washington was happy to have turned things around on Saturday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Wyandanch Warriors 64-30. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for the Vikings considering their 19-point performance the match before.

Despite the loss, Wyandanch had strong showings from Yonnie Ware, who posted 14 points, and Nyasia Murphy, who had 13 points.

Port Washington now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Wyandanch, their defeat was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-9.

Port Washington will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Academy Charter at 12:00 p.m. on February 8th. As for Wyandanch, they will take on Amityville Memorial at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
