Volleyball Recap: Shoreland Lutheran Pacers vs. De Pere Redbirds

Shoreland Lutheran was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the De Pere Redbirds. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Pacers of the 2-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2017.

Morgan Curcio paced Shoreland Lutheran's offense, picking up seven kills. Curcio got some help from Hailey Grove and her nine assists.

De Pere can attribute much of their success to Kayli Raygo, who had four digs and three aces. Those three aces gave Raygo a new career-high. Brenna Brittnacher also deserves some recognition as she had her first dig of the season.

Shoreland Lutheran's defeat dropped their record down to 3-7. As for De Pere, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 7-2.

Shoreland Lutheran wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 loss against Marshall on the 30th. As for De Pere, they have also already played their next game, a 2-1 defeat against Manitowoc Lutheran on the 30th.
