Basketball Recap: WF West Makes It Five in a Row at Home

WF West extended their home winning streak to five games thanks to a huge performance from Carlos Vallejo. The WF West Bearcats came out on top against the Hockinson Hawks by a score of 80-67 on Thursday thanks to Vallejo, who almost dropped a double-double with 20 points and nine rebounds. That's the most boards he has posted since back in December of 2024.

The team also got some help courtesy of Grady L Westlund, who almost dropped a double-double with nine points and 21 rebounds. He is on a roll when it comes to boards, as he's now pulled down ten or more in the last 11 games he's played.

WF West has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 12-10 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.1 points over those games. As for Hockinson, they have been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last nine games, which has put a noticeable dent in their 6-15 record this season.

Looking ahead, WF West will head out to face off against Mark Morris at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. WF West is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 55.7 points per game this season. Hockinson does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
