Basketball Game Preview: New Hanover Wildcats vs. Heritage Huskies

New Hanover is on a ten-game streak of home wins, while Heritage is on a three-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The New Hanover Wildcats will host the Heritage Huskies at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. New Hanover knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past 28 games -- so hopefully Heritage likes a good challenge.

New Hanover is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Tuesday. They blew past Rolesville 68-47. The Wildcats have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 18 matchups by 21 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Heritage won against Knightdale last Tuesday with 53 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Tuesday. Heritage beat Chapel Hill by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 53-46.

Heritage is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 16-11 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.9 points over those games. New Hanover's victory bumped their record up to 26-2.
