Soccer Game Preview: Phoebus vs. Kecoughtan

Phoebus hasn't had much luck against Kecoughtan recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Phantoms will head out on the road to square off against the Warriors at 5:30 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty goal totals in their previous games.

Phoebus was handed a three-goal loss in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Thursday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Denbigh, sneaking past 5-4. The victory continues a trend for Phoebus in their matchups with Denbigh: they've now won three in a row.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Kecoughtan). They never let Heritage get on the board and left with a 10-0 win on Thursday. It was an even better day for Jaxon Jones as he scored three goals for his team.

Phoebus' victory bumped their record up to 4-8. As for Kecoughtan, their win bumped their record up to 8-1.

Phoebus suffered a grim 5-0 defeat to Kecoughtan when the teams last played back in March. Can the Phantoms avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
