Soccer Recap: Goose Creek Comes Up Short

Goose Creek was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Cane Bay Cobras. That's two games in a row now that the Gators have lost by just one goal.

Goose Creek's defeat dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Cane Bay, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 4-3-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Goose Creek will challenge Berkeley at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Goose Creek will be up against Berkeley's rather soft defense (which has allowed 2.86 goals per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Cane Bay, they will face off against Wando at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Wando is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 3.4 goals per game this season.
