Baseball Recap: Bennington Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Bennington can now relate to. They came up short against the Ellinwood Eagles on Friday, falling 19-11. The Bulldogs' defeat continues a trend for the team, making it three in a row.

Bennington saw eight different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Hunter Johnson, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and two doubles. Brock Murk was another, going 2-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Bennington's loss dropped their record down to 7-14. As for Ellinwood, the win was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 14-11.

As of now, neither Bennington nor the Eagles have any future games scheduled.
